As well as our popular one off seminars we also offer longer courses that allow us to go go into the
syllabus of the one day course in more detail, we also have the opportunity to look at more complex
situations, including knife crime. It is possible for our longer courses to be tailored to a groups particular interests and needs. In addition to the information taught in the ‘Vital Skills’ syllabus we cover the following:

We don’t believe in quoting huge crime statistics and using scare tactics to try and frighten you into contacting us. The desired result of our courses and seminars is to leave you feeling safer and more able to deal with any threat to your personal safety, so this type of approach is counter productive and just results in you feeling more afraid of
potential situations than ever before.
HOWEVER there are certain facts that we must face and one of these is that the amount violent crimes involving bladed weapons has been steadily increasing every time the police crime statistics are published and without drastic changes in our criminal prosecution service and the courts sentencing structure, it doesn't look like going back down any time soon.
We teach techniques for dealing with an armed assailant but more importantly we discuss what must never be done and what isn’t possible when a knife is involved.
We highlight all the ways that weapons can affect the dynamics of a situation from how to change and adapt your posture to how a persons attitude and attention changes when they carry
a weapon

During our longer courses we incorporate basic stress relief and meditation exercises at the end of our sessions to allow you the time to relax and give your body and mind a chance properly absorb and help process all the information that you've received. So you’ll leave feeling more relaxed, confident and ready to face the rest of your day.
All of our instructors are police checked, highly qualified and insured so you can rest assured that your self protection training is in the best possible hands.
